“Sisterhood”…my thoughts

A Sister, should be a Sister, should be a Sister…*Forever*, it’s not a ‘when-I-feel-like-it’ thing, it should not rely on the conditions of outside influences, human frailities/insecurities/or pettiness.  A Sister is someone you grow old with; and on your way to this destination, you pass all the other stages of life– bumpy, smooth, unpleasant, and joyous…and you know, without a crumb of a doubt, that your Sister will travel this road with you, shoulder to shoulder– to the end and beyond.

  1. as i have entered to the place on my path past the raising of young children, concentrating so deeply on providing a home for dependents and finding a space in time to become and now follow a path that only i can fill i realize more and more the need and lack of true sisters in my life…i was raised with one brother, who is almost 5 years older than i am, we had a brother that was one year younger than me ….sadly he died as an infant…i have a few close girlfriends, one particularly….who has been a lifelong friend, unforgettably she and i do not share a deep core belief in our spiritual beliefs….
with that being said, i find myself feeling the need for sisters…reading your experiences sisters i feel that is a natural and healthy part of our path …a time to connect with the Goddess within…and those without…i feel so strongly blessed to have found you’all…i am looking forward with joy to learning and bonding more…thank you….

  2. Agreed. Sadly many put their ego – their own fear driven views – so strongly into play that it smothers any true bond.

Strong women can indeed be amazing in sisterhood.
