From My Journals ~ The Color of Me

I am green… I am springtime, that light just birthed green of new buds, sprouts, and baby leaves, fragile and trembly, all new and expectant.

I am red… the velvet red that is rose petals; the rich red of blood and birth.

I am yellow… brilliant and warm, the golden yellow of the sun, the rich yellow of sunflowers, the muted yellow of a sunset, bright and hot with energy and unbridled enthusiasm.

I am black… a cool moonless night, shadowless and still, caught in deep sleep and silence.

I am purple… the regal deep purple of tulips and clematis, dignified and graceful, contained and in control.

I am blue... an endless summer sky with no beginning and no end, forever young, frozen in time.

I am brown… the solid rough trunk of a tree, or soil warmed by the sun, full of living things, seeded with infinite possibilities.

I am orange… a large ripe pumpkin, solid and pompous and in your face, self-confident and proud, the deep orange of mums and asters, quietly beautiful, patient and penetrating.

Personal Experiences ~ Rubbing Elbows with Hollywood

“Personal Experiences”… a new category for blog posts @ Every Cat Has a Tale…

This will be a new series of blogs to add to the repertoire.  As I think of anything interesting, I will continue the “Personal Experiences” saga.  This first post under this tag is probably the most interesting (and unusual) of all. There is two parts here, taken from notes and an old blog post.  There is the Business experience and the Human experience.  To this day, there are individuals that we met during the summer of 2014 and still hold fondly as friends.  This was the bonus.

Blogging on WordPress

This is just a note to let you know that I’ll be posting a lot more at Every Cat Has a Tale than I will be here at my beloved Magickal Connections. I absolutely hate the new blogging tools at this site. I find them awkward and restrictive, as well as irritating.

I love this blog, but if anyone has noticed, as far as posting goes, I use it primarily to pass along a link to new posts at my Other Blog. I will continue to do this.

However, I have to say that over the years here at WordPress, I’ve built this blog up with pages and pages of informative information on tarot and witchcraft, and I feel (quite proudly) that this blog can still stand on its own.

I’m not giving up Magickal Connections, but I’m using it in a different way for my own purposes.

The Inspiring Blogger Award

Blog Award 4

Thank you so much Lady A  (Witches of the Craft) for this nomination!  I’m delighted, humbled, and surprised all at the same time.  It’s such a warm feeling to be acknowledged by your peers, to be recognized for your work and efforts, and it makes lots of positive energy in the form of beautiful silver balls dance all over the universe! (At least it does for me)  🙂  I also want to thank you for the beautiful message you left with this nomination, and all the lovely things you said.  Your energy is amazing and contact with you is always magickal– it leaves me with a “warm and fuzzy” feeling for the rest of the day.

Here are the obligations that go along with accepting this award:

  • Display the award on your blog
  • Link back to the person who nominated you
  • State 7 things about yourself
  • Nominate 15 bloggers, link to them, and notify them about their nominations

7 Things About Myself:

1.  My favorite Tarot Deck:  Motherpeace Tarot

2.  I recently gave up caffeine and I’m trying to adjust to the sudden and unexpected drop in energy! However, I don’t mind the taste of de-caff coffee at all, and I really don’t miss the Buzz-Rush I used to get off it…not much anyway. 🙂

3.  I am basically lazy (yes, really, I am– one of the negative aspects of Libra), and I can ignore a sink full of dishes longer than anyone I know…yep, I can– click Here

4.  Toilet paper:  Over

5.  I love to eat out!! It is one of my most favorite things, and something that we rarely do. If you want to get on my good side (or even if you don’t have any ulterior motives)– feed me, and I will be your friend forever. (This seems to apply to cats as well).

6.  I love taking photographs & making videos.

7.  Favorite Color: Shades of Green

I nominate the following bloggers for the Inspiring Blogger Award…I’m going to be coming back and editing this post, as I’m going to take my time and find at least 10 blogs that genuinely touch me and inspire me.  There are so many eloquent and talented writers in the pagan community that spread their magick through the wonderful world of blogging.  You are all amazing, mystical, and enlightening, and you add so much to the positive energy rolling around in this Universe.  Blessed Be!

1.  Tania Marie’s Blog

2.  Ayslyn’s Corner

3.  Writings of a Pagan Witch

4.  Shauna Aura Knight

5.  The Magickal Pen

6.  Journeying to the Goddess

7.  Laura Bruno’s Blog

8.  Dog Brindle

9.

10.

In my search for inspiring blogs, I am amazed at the wonderful blogs out there that have been abandoned!  One of the criteria for this list of blogs above is that it had to be an active blog and to have had a post made no later than November 2014.  I’m still searching, so I’ll go ahead and post this as is and edit later when I find more spectacular blogs!

One Lovely Blog Award

Blog Award 3

I would like to thank Tania Maria, of Tania Marie’s Blog, for nominating Magickal Connections for the “One Lovely Blog Award”.  It means so much coming from a Kindred Spirit, and such a creative and gifted individual.  (I love your blog, Tania, and I’m blown away by the tattoo art, which is so close to my heart– one of my daughters is a tattoo artist and I’m the happy recipient of her work.)  Your creativity and your wonderful pure spirit are an inspiration!

As stated below, you’ll find the rules for the recipients of “One Lovely Blog Award”:

Rules for One Lovely Blog Award:

1.  Thank the person who nominated you for the award.
2.  Add the One Lovely Blog logo to your post.
3.  Share 7 facts or things about yourself.

Seven facts about myself, or Stuff-You-Might-Not-Know:

1.  I was an avid horsewoman in my teens and 20s, owning 3 or 4 head of horses at one time, and riding everyday.

My nominees for One Lovely Blog Award:

I nominate you for your creativity; for your art; your photographs; your writing style; and your beautiful spirits…I understand if you don’t have the time or inclination to accept this award, but know that you are deserving of it in every way, and your blogs shine bright!!

Edit:  It’s truly an inspiration to visit some of the blogs that have made it onto my list of “Blogs to Follow”– I wish I had the time to nominate more, and I wish I had the time to read more of the wonderful blogs out there.  The internet and the modern world of blogging has opened up amazing avenues for gifted and talented writers, artists, and activists, to present their work to us.

I noticed that a couple of the blogs I nominated have either been deleted or appear to be abandoned…someday, when and if I get the time, I’ll have to go through my list of blogs-I’m-following and update the list.  (But don’t expect this to happen for a very long time.)  Also, there are so many blogs I’m thinking of now that are amazing and inspirational, and I wish I could include a hundred on here.  Keep writing, keep inspiring, keep creating!!!

Every Cat Has a Tale

Every Cat Has a Tale

Simply me– take it, or leave it…… This is my very personal blog spot. I’m not trying to sell any books here nor do anything promotional. This is my space to simply be “just me”…and this might include some whining, opinionizing, reflection, reminiscing, and personal revelations– as personal as I can get without compromising someone else’s privacy, that is.
