Who are the Court Cards, really? (Brace yourself, recognize anyone?)

Exploring tarot’s Court Cards as Personality Profiles:

There’s a positive side to each of the court cards, and it’s there, you can read it for yourself; and then there’s the Dark Side, which (admit it) is more fun to explore.  Do you recognize anyone?

New Photos: Broken Hearts Collection (cover artist for “The Spiritual Feminist”)

This is the Nebraska artist whose work is featured on the cover of my next book, “The Spiritual Feminist”!

Most people have no idea how much work it takes to get to this point– the creation is one aspect of it, and then you have the presentation, and the publicity behind it to get your work out there. Included in this collection is the Apple Heart Sculpture featured on the cover of “The Spiritual Feminist”.

Follow THIS LINK  <– be sure you follow *This* link, because the one you’ll find below isn’t working.

Heart on your Sleeve

I made this one after a conversation with my mum about how we all seem to wear our hearts on our sleeves and get screwed over because we’re so transparent with out feelings/thoughts/desires. Heart on your Sleeve 4 panel2

It’s like an emotional hoodie lol; it’s zipped open because we are always spilling our baggage all over the place. It was difficult adding the zipper down the front, I couldn’t get the clay to set right without it already in place (I had wanted to glue it in after it dried) but instead I ended up pinning it in place while still wet. The pins started to rust and made red spots through the clay, so I took it as a sign and knew I had to continue the…

You Only Live Once (?)

Latest broken heart sculpture, I needed a steampunk heart with gears and such to keep it running after it’s too tired to pump on its own any longer.

Because I am just so tired sometimes.

I am very proud of this one, it looks nice and meaty (almost leathery) and it was great fun sticking it full of metal staples/stitches. It was also nice to break away from the clean white lines of the other hearts, this one feels more real to me, more like it belongs to a real person. A strong, determined, or maybe just stubborn person who refuses to give in or take any shit. I like it 🙂

YOLO credit goes to D.J.the 2nd on my Facebook, I couldn’t think of a title I liked (Steampunk Something is just too obvious lol) and with technology advancing the way it is who knows, in the future maybe we won’t live only once.
